Perhaps one of the major changes to the standard game is the Weight System. Certain people should be familiar with this already but for those who don’t, I’ll try to explain it the best I can. Basically this system sets a limit to how much items a player can carry at one time. To elaborate on this further, here are the important things you should know:
1. All items on the map will have a set weight (Which will be indicated on the room description after the item name) and all players can carry a maximum of 5 weight worth of items by default.
2. Players themselves will have their own weight which will be determined by the height and weight of their character. (For example, a character that has average height and weight will have a body weight of 5)
3. Container items such as bags, boxes, certain clothing, etc will have their own separate weight capacity for storing items. Anything stored in these container items will have their weight halved (Except arcanas) and can also help conceal them from prying eyes. The item’s weight must also be exactly or less than the weight of the container in order to be stored.
Example:
Main Inventory
Backpack - 4 Weight
Total Weight used: 4/5
Backpack Inventory (Max weight capacity: 4)
Shovel - 4 Weight (2 inside bag)
Knife - 2 Weight (1 inside bag)
Flashlight 2 Weight (1 inside bag)
Total Weight used: 4/4
4. You can knock out someone with items that weigh 3 or more. The heavier the item, the longer they will be unconscious.
5. Holding items that are weigh 1 or less will not be visible to other players at first glance.
6. Bodies that weigh 5 or below can be “dragged” even if your weight capacity is full. If the body weighs 6 or more however, you may require some form of support to help move the body around.
7. Items that weigh 6 or more can be moved around the room. However, it will consume a whole action.
8. Arcanas will weigh 0 to its original owner but will weigh 2 if held by another person.
